ICP-MS Interface Sampler, Skimmer Cones & Bases
ICP-MS cones, consisting of a Sampler cone and Skimmer cone, form the interface region between the atmospheric ICP and the high vacuum MS detector. Agilent offers interface cones that have either a Nickel or Platinum tip. Pt cones are used for their resistance to aggressive acidic sample matrix and organic solvents. They can enable the lowest background and longest cone lifetime. Ni cones provide good performance and lifetime with an economical cost for routine ICP-MS applications.
